Cumbria LEP Advisory Panel sits on its ****

My letter to the Financial Times about Cumbria’s invisible Local Enterprise Partnership has achieved something!

Today the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce (one of the LEP partners) proudly announced on its website

Following the great news that we in Cumbria have been given the go ahead to create our own Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) we now need to forge ahead and establish a Board. We have received a tremendous response from private sector applicants for the LEP Board. The Private Sector Advisory Panel is now considering the applications and we expect to announce the private sector board members soon.

Considering the deadline for applications was originally December 10, 2010 but was extended to January 10, 2011 because of the bad weather I just wonder what Cumbria LEP Advisory Panel has been sitting on for the last five weeks?

The polite answer is their hands. The correct answer is their a***s backsides.

And these people are meant to be helping businesses?
